ROCKLIN, CA. – UC Santa Cruz battled to a 0-0 draw against William Jessup University on Monday afternoon. Despite creating several chances and controlling much of the game, the Banana Slugs were unable to break the deadlock, resulting in their fourth draw of the season.
How It Happened
In the first half, UCSC pressed early and often, registering seven shot attempts while limiting William Jessup's opportunities. Goalkeeper
Ainsley Gove made a key save to keep the match scoreless heading into halftime.
The second half saw the Banana Slugs continue to push forward, earning three corners and adding two shots on Goal. Gove remained solid in goal, making two more saves to preserve the shutout. However, UCSC couldn't find a breakthrough despite their pressure, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
