Claire Okerlund led the team with 17 kills, but 18th-ranked UC Santa Cruz fell to Salisbury University 3-1 in the Coast-To-Coast Conference semifinal.
Okerlund set the school record for career kills, passing former Banana Slug Katherine Grow, who tallied 1,003 from 2009-2012. The Conference Player of the Year, Okerlund now has 1,008 kills in her career, breaking the old mark with her first kill of the fourth set after tying the record in the third for set point.
Samantha Taylor added 15 kills and 15 digs.
Sinead Beaupain had 25 assists and
Lauren Bliss added 22 to go along with her team-high 3 aces.
Overall, Salisbury (17-9) hit .221 in the match to UCSC's .170, and had 8 blocks to three by the Slugs.
UC Santa Cruz is now 18-3 on the season, and wait on Monday's NCAA Selection Show to find out if they made the tournament field.
